In the summer of 2009, 17 members of Grace Covenant Church, traveled to Zeway, Ethiopia to visit orphans who are raising their siblings. We had no idea what God had in store for us! He has now revealed a 3 year community-to-community partnership with Zeway Food for the Hungry, the Zeway Evangelical Church Partnership and our church in Austin. What a ride God has in store for all those who join this partnership!

that is awesome. WE are excited to hear about what happened and how the prayers of the "safari" were felt by you guys. It is funny how the "safari" have gotten use to the word "zeway" and how it is not pronounced better and better every day. Thank you for being obedient.
The journey ends and another begins! Not just the one home, but the one for Grace as closer partners to this little tiny place in the Great Kingdom of God!
May safety preceed you and rest be yours to enjoy!
When we first began serving the orphans in Zeway, we called it the Zeway Project. It wasn't until we met the Zeway church leaders and Zeway FH staff that we understood that God meant for this to be a Partnership.
You see, a project is something you do TO someone. A partnership is something you do WITH someone. We see the benefits of working with the Zeway churches and FH staff as reciprocal. We will learn from them as much and probably much more than they will from us.
So forgive us if we get particular and insist that you say PARTNERSHIP.
